An inmate being held at the Shasta County Jail has died totaling three deaths for the month of September. Leo Graham was transported to Shasta Regional Medical Center for a gastrointestinal complaint. Hospital staff cleared Graham but as he was being taken back to a transport vehicle he became unresponsive and pronounced dead. Action News Now is working to find out if the deaths could be related.
Power continues to be restored to PG&E customers
Most people in Butte County are waking up with power flowing after the PG&E planned power safety shut-off. The company plans to have the power back on for everyone by the evening. Chico State will send a Shelter in Place Alert
As part of national preparedness month activities, Chico State is letting students and staff know it will enact a shelter-in-place drill. The drill will happen at 2:55 p.m. in Glenn Hall. An alert will be sent to notify the campus community when that drill begins and ends, the university said via Twitter.
Enloe Medical Center offers free flu vaccination clinic
Enloe Medical Center will be offering a free flu vaccination clinic. It's as easy as driving up, getting a shot, and driving out. Adults and children ages 3 and up can get a free flu shot. The event is one of three scheduled vaccination clinics this month. The drive-through clinic runs starts at 7 a.m. and runs through 11 a.m. then again 2-6 p.m. at Calvary Chappel, 1888 Springfield Drive, Chico.

California Attorney General announces lawsuit against Trump Administration
California's Attorney General has announced a lawsuit against the Trump Administration over rollbacks on environmental protections. The lawsuit seeks to reinstate the endangered species act, which Becerra said prioritizes protected wildlife over corporate development and profits. The suit includes attorneys general from 17 states, the District of Columbia, and the city of New York.
Lawmakers face continued pressure for tighter gun laws
Congressional lawmakers are facing continued pressure from students, fellow politicians, and public figures to pass tighter gun control laws. A rally on the west lawn of the US capitol included House Speaker Pelosi and Representative John Lewis along with rapper Common. They all spoke about why passing legislation is important, urging congress to keep everyone safe from gun violence by taking action.
