Chico City Council recap

Chico City Council members decided to not allow Councilmember Sean Morgan to rescind his vote for Randall Stone as mayor at the council meeting on Sept. 17. Morgan said he was pushing this item forward, not for political reasons, but because he wants to see a change in leadership. Several other members agreed and said they would like to see a change in the mayor's behavior.

The council also approved the creation of a committee to look into a homeless work program. Councilmember Scott Huber initiated the proposal, he said the idea originated from similar programs in other cities including Oakland.
