PG&E is once again warning of the possibility of a public safety power shutoff, notifying 50,000 customers in 19 counties that Wednesday could be the day they lose their power. Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Shasta, Trinty, and Tehama counties are among those notified.
Chico City Council set to discuss homeless shelter, plan of action
Chico's City Council is set to discuss the plan to move a local BMX park. The move would open that location up to become a homeless shelter. Also on the agenda, a hearing on the city’s homeless action plan that uses resources from the city’s general fund. The city council meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 421 Main Street.
Redding City Council agenda includes potential neighborhood preservation officer
The Redding City Council will meet to consider adding a neighborhood preservation officer to specifically enforce cannabis ordinances in the city. The position would at least partially be paid for using fees from cannabis-related business licenses. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday and will be live-streamed.
Oroville City Council to consider various agenda items Tuesday
The Oroville City Council will meet to consider adopting district-based local elections. The meeting kicks off at 4:30 Tuesday with a closed session. It then opens to the public. Also on the agenda, a vote to recognize whether the city joins a local energy aggregation organization, and to discuss extending the emergency ordinance for temporary housing for Camp Fire victims.
