Butte County District Attorney investigates potential criminal charges against PG&E

While PG&E faces thousands of civil lawsuits in connection with the Camp Fire, the results of the CAL FIRE investigation could bring even more consequences for the company. Whether criminal charges will be filed against PG&E is now up to the Butte County District Attorney's Office.

4,000 students to graduate from Chico State

It is graduation weekend for thousands of Chico State students. Despite the rainy weather, those Wildcats will be walking the stage. The university said if it is to make any changes it's due to the importance of safety. Action News Now will continue to follow the latest. 

Asphalt Cowboys hold annual pancake breakfast

Redding Rodeo Week is well underway and rain is not stopping the Asphalt Cowboy's annual pancake breakfast Friday morning. The event is happening until 10 a.m. on Friday in downtown Redding on Market Street. 

Deputies arrest 2 for possession of stolen gun

A Butte County Sheriff's deputy arrested a woman and a man for having a stolen gun Thursday morning. Heidi Beach and Josh Reed- Wilcockson were arrested in a parking lot on East Avenue in Chico. The deputy found a shotgun, which was stolen from Gate's Resale Wednesday night, under a seat in the car. Both were booked into the Butte County Jail.

Data shows car crashes have increased in Chico since Camp Fire

New numbers released by the city of Chico shows that car crashes have increased since the Camp Fire. The data shows, on average, collisions have increased by 29%. City officials ask everyone to build in extra travel time when driving through the city.
