1 killed in officer-involved shooting in Anderson

One man is dead after a standoff with police Saturday on Lodge Pole Avenue in Anderson. Police said the man did, in fact, brandish a gun and that's when an officer fired one round, killing him on the scene. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Redding K-9 officer detains wanted felon

A wanted felon is behind bars this morning. A Redding K-9 officer spotted Leo Graham, of Redding, in the area of South Bonnyview Road and Bechelli Lane Sunday afternoon. Graham had a felony warrant for his arrest. He fled on foot into a wooded area. The California Highway Patrol sent a helicopter to help in the search. K-9 Otto found Graham and helped secure the man's arrest.

Burn season ends in Shasta County

Debris-pile burning will no longer be allowed within Redding city limits, as well as other parts of Shasta County, starting Monday morning at 8 a.m. This will only affect those who want to burn below 1,000-feet of elevation.

Traffic alert: Controls in place on I-5, near the Pit River Bridge

Motorists should expect delays if planning on driving on the I-5 in Shasta County near the Pit River Bridge Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol will guide north and southbound drivers into one lane over the bridge. Motorists should plan on 24-hour traffic controls through Friday.

Vandals spray-paint racist, anti-Semitic graffiti across South Chico

Chico police are searching for vandals after finding racist graffiti at ten locations across the city. Police found spray painting on a restaurant on 9th and Cherry Streets as well as at the 76 Gas Station on West Sacramento and Nord Avenues, and on Poppy Street. So far, police said they have no suspects.

Flood warnings, watches continue throughout the country

Extreme flooding continues in parts of the country. Flood warnings and watches have been posted from Minnesota down to Louisiana. Several rivers have already reached their highest depths in decades and more rain is expected to fall in the region this week.

President Trump makes royal visit

President Trump begins a week-long overseas trip in London this morning. He is being welcomed by royalty, however, polls show as many as two-thirds of Londoners are opposed to the visit.
