FEMA responding to possibly making fire survivors pay, turning it onto PG&E

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), said PG&E owes it, nearly $4 billion for recovery efforts during the 2017 and 2018 wildfires. FEMA reps have said if that debt is not resolved it would consider staking a claim on $13.5 billion settlement slated for 2017 and 2018 wildfire victims.

Chico police announce arrest of Wells Fargo robbery suspect

The suspect wanted in a bank robbery is behind bars this morning and police are
crediting alert witnesses with helping to crack the case. Kevin Miers is the man Chico police said targeted the Wells Fargo on Monday, Jan. 6. Officers arrested him last week; Jan. 9, three days after the robbery at the Wells Fargo on East Avenue.

Chico Police arrest man for shoplifting, find 250 hypoedermic needles

Chico police said they seized drugs and more than 250 new hypodermic needles during a shoplifting arrest. Officers arrested 30-year-old Duke Clayton Monday afternoon, for stealing from Kohl's department store. During the stop on the bike path behind the business, officers recovered the stolen property and discovered more than 250 new hypodermic needles and drugs. Clayton is facing drug and theft charges.

Deputies arrest three people after finding two girls high on heroin

A community-wide call is going out this morning from the Butte County Sheriff's
Office. Surrounding a man charged with running a drug house, Eric Becerril. He is facing felony charges of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, after law enforcement found two teenage girls in his home, high on heroin. Just last month detectives charged him with maintaining a residence where narcotics are used or sold.

Pelosi sets up floor vote as soon as Wednesday to name impeachment managers and send articles to the Senate

Today, the House of Representatives ends a three-week delay in turning over impeachment to the senate. Voting begins this week to send the charges or articles, and decide who will try the case. Democrats would like to call more witnesses for the trial. President Trump is urging the Senate to dismiss the charges with no trial.

Iran announces arrests over plane crash as Rouhani warns those responsible will be punished

More fallout this morning from the downing of a civilian plane in Iran. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is casting blame. Trudeau said the military escalation between the U.S. and Iran is responsible for the downing of that Ukrainian airline's plane, which killed 176 people. 57 of them were Canadians.
