Authorities captured wanted felon Alex Bettencourt of San Jose living in a tent on a burned property in Concow. The sheriff's office says he had a number weapons with him including a throwing star and two felony warrants for his arrest. Deputies also found a stolen motorcycle. Bettencourt now faces three additional felony charges.
The sheriff's office is searching for three people connected to a honey oil lab explosion at a home on Burnap Avenue in North Chico. Deputies arrested Brittney Larsen, 28, of Chico. They say her 5-month-old baby was inside the home and the child's room was being used to store marijuana. Investigators believe the operation was connected to an illegal mobile dispensary.
Cleanup crews in Redding are working to clear hundreds of down trees and tree limbs in city parks from last week's snowstorm. They say Enterprise Park and River Trail were especially hit hard. Crews are asking people to stay off the trails until work is complete.

More than 1,000 Feather River Hospital Employees have been laid off. Hospital officials say repairs on the building, damaged by the Camp Fire, should take at least one year. Adventist Health says it will help employees find new jobs at different locations in the company.
Placer County Sheriff's Office finds lost hiker in Gold Run
The Placer County Sheriff's Office says a hiker's GPS device helped them find her after 24 hours in the freezing cold in Gold Run. Volunteers found the 60-year-old woman soaking wet, with hypothermia and frostbite. She is expected to be OK.
