Officers arrested one suspect from a burglary at the CVS Pharmacy on East Ave. Thursday, Aug. 15, around 11:00 p.m. Thieves used a heavy metal object to break a window at the CVS on East Ave., right across from Trader Joes. There was a bloody handprint left on the interior wall.
This is the second time in the last few weeks this CVS Pharmacy has been burglarized. Chico Police caught the suspect at the nearby Ramada Inn. Action News Now is working to identify that person.
A search is still underway for a suspect in a stabbing at one mile in Lower Bidwell Park. Officers said a 30-year-old man was assaulted by someone he knew. He received a moderate injury to his upper body but is expected to be okay.
Police performed an extensive search of the area but were unable to find the suspect.
We now know new details about a shooting incident in Chico. The suspect is still on the loose. Police are searching for the person who fired shots at the 7-Eleven on Forest Ave. This created a frightening first day of school for students, teachers, and parents. No one was injured but those shots forced the lockdown of nearby Marsh Junior High and Little Chico Creek school.

The President campaigning in New Hampshire Thursday, Aug. 15 defended his handling of the economy, despite new recession fears. President Trump rallied the crowd and said the economy will tank if he is not reelected. The speech came a day after stocks plummeted, amid the escalating trade war with China.
