Extremely hot temperatures hit the North State

A memorial will be held for CHP Officer Andre Moye, Jr.

An event celebrating California Highway Patrol's 90 years of service, has been canceled after the shooting death of an officer in Riverside. Instead, a memorial will be held at 10 a.m. at the Bechelli flag. In Sacramento, the CHP Commissioner will join officers at the CHP Academy for a ceremony.

Time is running out to sign up for debris removal in Paradise

Butte County supervisors are warning Camp Fire survivors that the time is nearly up to sign up for debris removal or face a penalty. Staff from the county and town have been reaching out, trying to get people to sign up voluntarily. However, in the next couple of weeks, officials will start abating properties at a cost to homeowners.

New details about the mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio

Police are revealing new details about what happened during the mass shooting in Dayton, using surveillance video. Police laid out a timeline of the movements of the suspected gunman, Connor Betts. Dayton police also updated the numbers of people injured, adding three more people to the list of those injured.

Community Memorial Service in El Paso will be held tonight

Community members will come together to remember the lives of those lost in the recent mass shooting in El Paso, Texas. A community memorial service will be held in the evening on Aug. 14 in downtown El Paso. The city is hosting the service to reflect and remember the victims of the shooting which killed 22 people and injured more than two dozen others.

President Trump delays tariffs on products from China

President Trump is putting off the next round of tariffs on products from China. The tariffs scheduled to begin in September will be on hold until Dec. 15, 2019. Putting off for now higher prices for shoppers. This applies to items including cell phones, laptops, video game consoles, certain toys, and clothing.

More than 20 states are suing the Environmental Protection Agency

Clean air, water, and renewable energy are taking center stage, as more than 20 states including California are suing the environmental protection agency. Those states involved are suing over its rollback of an Obama-era climate rule involving power plants. This is the latest pushback by states accusing the Trump Administration of endangering the environment with its policies.
