People from Chico Peace and Justice Center protest U.S. involvement in wars, military, and more Monday morning

Representative Doug LaMalfa, State Senator Jim Niesen, and Assemblyman James Gallagher will be at the Chico Elks Lodge this morning, Aug. 12. They will be talking about wildfire recovery and infrastructure in Butte County. People from the Chico Peace and Justice Center will be protesting things like the U.S. involvement in wars, the military, and the development of nuclear weapons.

After 680 undocumented workers were rounded up in ICE raids in Mississippi, children are taking on the responsibilities of their parents

Days after immigration officials raided seven poultry plants in Mississippi, children and community members marched in support of the parents taken away. Acting homeland security secretary Kevin Mcaleenan said the plants are being investigated.

Investigation on Jeffery Epstein continue

More questions and investigations surrounding the apparent suicide of financier and accused sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein. Monday, both the justice department and the FBI are investigating. Epstein's death came just one day after new details about his case were unsealed in court, many of his victims said he escaped justice.
