1. Redding Fire Chief Dies
Redding Fire Chief Gerry Gray has passed away it happened Monday morning he was 54-years-old. No word yet on how he did. Flags outside of Redding City Hall will be flown at half-staff Tuesday.

2. Son Accused of Murdering Chico Mom
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Alton Facciuto is being charged with strangling his mother to death. It happened on January 18, detectives say DNA evidence connects him directly to the murder.

3. Assault Outside Chico ‘Big Lots’
Chico police say 32-year-old Kyle Reeder randomly assaulted a woman with a heavy bike chain lock in the “Big Lots” parking lot. It happened around 5 p.m. Monday, Reeder is now facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

3. 'County Fire' grows to 60,000 Acres
The “County Fire” in Yolo County has doubled in size it is now 60,000 acres and only 5 percent contained as of Tuesday morning.

4. Lake County Fire 75% Contained
The “Pawnee Fire” in Lake County is 14,800 acres with 75 percent containment as of Tuesday morning. Twenty-two buildings have been destroyed.

5. Fireworks Set for Third and Fourth of July
There’s an early fireworks show at the Chico heat game Tuesday. It starts at 6:45 p.m. and then on July 4 there will be a show at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds.
