Erin Brokovich Joins PG&E Protestors at State Capitol

Renowned activist Erin Brockovich joins Camp Fire survivors at the State Capitol to protest against PG&E. Participants plan to demand that Governor Gavin Newsom stop PG&E's filing for bankruptcy. The demonstration begins in Sacramento at noon. 

Shasta County Sheriff's Office Searching for Missing Woman

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing woman named Cheryl Mcbee. Her car was found in a small creek in the Whitmore area. Anyone with information is asked to call the Shasta County Sheriff's Office at (530) 245-6540.

Deadline for Enloe Medical Center and Anthem Blue Cross Contract Negotiations

Tuesday, the contract between Enloe Medical Center and Anthem Blue Cross comes to an end. There's no word yet if negotiators will agree to another extension. An expired contract would make Enloe an "out of network" provider forAnthem-insured patients. 

Downtown Chico Businesses Association Hosts Annual Member's Meeting

The Downtown Chico Business Association is hosting its annual member's meeting. The association will present $15,000 to the North Valley Community Foundation for the Camp Fire Relief Fund. That meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Broadway Heights. 

Fire Safe Council to Host Community Meeting

The Oroville Foothills and Lake Wyandotte Fire Safe Council will host a community meeting. Cal Fire will be on hand to teach community members about wildfire safety projects and talk about the Fuels Reduction Grant. The meeting is at the Wyandotte Grange on Foothill Boulevard in Oroville at 7 p.m. Tuesday night. 

Mount Shasta Police Searching for Car Burglary Suspects

Mount Shasta police are searching for the suspects in a car burglary. Police say a black SUV is the suspect's vehicle. Officers say a man and woman smashed in a car window outside Black Bear Diner around 7 p.m. Sunday night. They stole a purse, credit cards and cash. 

Deadly Weather Moves Across Midwest and Northeast

Weather is being blamed for at least seven deaths throughout the midwest and northeast. Thousands are still without power this morning and thousands of flights have been canceled. Another storm system is developing that could blanket the same regions with more snow by the end of the week.
