The Glenn County Sheriff's Office is searching for a young couple missing in the Mendocino National Forest. They say Carlos Hernandez Jr. and Maia Herman Kitami were on a camping trip near Aldridge Springs. Search crews have not been able to use a helicopter due to the storm. The couple is in a 2004 yellow Jeep Wrangler with license plate number 7NAJ240. Anyone with information is asked to call the Glenn County Sheriff's Office at (530) 934-6441.
Monday, the Paradise Town Council will meet to repeal the ordinance that allows Camp Fire survivors to stay on their burned properties. The meeting is at the Town Hall at 8 a.m. Monday morning. The Butte County Board of Supervisors will also have their own discussion in their chambers in Oroville at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office has issued a flash flood watch for areas burned by the Camp Fire. It is set to expire at 6 p.m. Monday night. The biggest concern is for the higher elevations like Pulga, Concow and Magalia.
Rite Aid Armed Robberies Connected
Redding police say two men who robbed a Rite Aid in Redding are also the suspects in the Chico Rite Aid robbery two weeks ago. Officers say these men robbed pharmacy workers at gunpoint at the Churn Creek Road location. Police say they know the suspect's names but will not release them at this time.
Traffic Alert: Highway 12 Maintenance
Caltrans plans to close theRrio Vista Bridge on Highway 12 Monday night for maintenance. The closure is from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
