Cal Fire Rescues Two from Lindo Channel on the Esplanade

Cal Fire rescued two people and a dog from the waters of the Lindo Channel across from Anthony's Liquor on the Esplanade at around 4 a.m. Thursday morning. Crews also had to rescue a driver who drove around a "road closed" sign on the flooded Cox Road Wednesday night. 

Shasta County in State of Local Emergency

Shasta County is in a state of local emergency due to the snow. I-5 has reopened north of Redding, with chain controls in place. Thousands are without power and Redding has opened a warming center at Crosspoint Community Church. There are also lots of school closures.

Gov. Newsom Set to Visit Camp Fire Burn Areas

Governor Gavin Newsom is set to visit Camp Fire burn areas to meet with Butte County leaders and survivors. He'll be at Pine Ridge Elementary School in Magalia around Noon. 

Richvale Area in Butte County Under Evacuation Warning

The area of Richvale is now under an evacuation warning. The possible flood area includes anywhere between the Sacramento River and Highway 99, from Nelson Shippee Road to Highway 162.

Concerns Over Selling Homes in Paradise

It turns out people who want to move out of Paradise are worried their homes won't sell. But realtors we spoke with say buyer demand is there and that you can sell your home at pre-Camp Fire values. 

Highway 99 Closed due to Flooding

Highway 99 is closed from Highway 36 in Red Bluff to South Avenue in Corning due to flooding.

Butte County Sheriff's Office Issues Evacuations for Rock Creek Area due to Flooding

An evacuation ORDER has been issued for the area of Hamilton Nord Cana Highway and Wilson Landing Road, south of Rock Creek due to flooding of Rock Creek. An evacuation WARNING has been issued for the community of Nord due to flooding of Rock Creek.
