Woman Escapes Mobile Home Fire

Cal Fire was at the scene of a mobile home fire in Dairyville. They say a woman escaped the home unharmed on Craig and Electric Avenues in Tehama County. The mobile home is destroyed. Cal Fire says there is no threat to other homes in the area.

Water Warning Issued for Paradise

The Paradise Irrigation District has issued a water warning for the town due to possible contaminates. They urge people in Paradise to use bottled water for themselves and their pets and to also take shorter showers. The district says boiling your water yourself will not make the water safe to drink. 

Man Sentenced For Shooting 16-Year-Old

A man convicted of shooting a teen in Redding will spend 19 years in prison. A judge sentenced Enrique Padilla Thursday. Prosecutors say in 2017, Padilla shot a 16-year-old boy through the window of a home on Mistletoe Lane. Padilla pleaded guilty to burglary and assault with a semi-automatic weapon.

Man Steals 12 Right Shoes

A suspected shoe thief is behind bars this morning. Police say Matthew Watson stole only the right shoe from 12 pairs. They caught and arrested him at Redwood Sole on Hilltop Drive at around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning. All of the left shoes were left behind. Watson was already on post-release community supervision for assault with a deadly weapon. 

FEMA Considers Oroville Location for Debris-Sorting Site

FEMA is now considering a location in Oroville as a temporary site to store and sort debris from the Camp Fire. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposed the Koppers Inc. Plant, located off of Baggett Marysville Road. FEMA is evaluating water quality, air quality and noise impacts. 

Chico Chamber of Commerce Begins Camp Fire Workforce Survey

The Chico Chamber of Commerce created a survey to begin calculating the impact of the Camp Fire on the workforce. The chamber is asking everyone who may have lost their jobs or businesses to the fire, or felt any impact at all, to take the survey. 

Alameda County Sheriff's Office Brings 400 Bikes to Camp Fire Survivors

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is making its way to oroville with 400 bikes for children displaced by the Camp Fire friday. The donations will be handed out at the Butte County Sheriff's Office in Oroville at noon on Friday, located at 5 Gillick Way, Oroville.
