National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of California. The town of Paradise also issued a warning due to heavy rainfall. There are no flash flood warnings at this time.
Monday, local agencies are holding a Camp Fire community meeting to cover the Debris Removal Program. It's being held at the Calvary Chapel Chico on Springfield Drive from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Chico Chamber of Commerce will hold a Camp Fire business Recovery Forum at Bidwell Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. to noon.
FEMA and Cal OES are setting up mobile assistance centers at the Tehama County Fairgrounds Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. They'll also be there on Dec. 27 through Dec. 29. At the Redding Public Library - FEMA services will be available Dec. 20 and Dec. 22 and Jan. 3 through Jan 5.
Bigge Crane Rigging fired three contractors working on Camp Fire clean up. This was after backlash from photos they posted online, mocking the destruction. Paradise police are now working to determine if the men broke any laws - such as trespassing.
Saturday, the Butte County Sheriff's Office lifted the final evacuation orders for Paradise, Magalia, Concow and surrounding communities. It has been more than a month since the fire broke out Nov. 8.
Butte County Animal Control will close their Camp Fire animal shelters byJan. 4. Starting Tuesday, animal control will move unclaimed pets to smaller shelters.
