Scheduled Meeting in Oroville Focuses on Debris Removal
A Camp Fire community meeting is scheduled in Oroville Thursday. It will focus on the office of emergency service’s debris removal program. People can also turn in your “right of entry” forms at the meeting. The meeting is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the State Theatre Arts Guild on Myers Street in Oroville. The meeting will also be streamed live on the Butte County Facebook page.

Fire Recovery Meeting at Yankee Hill
On Thursday night, the Yankee Hill Safe Council plans to hold a fire recovery meeting. The meeting is set to run from 7-8:30 p.m. at Spring Valley School on Pentz Road. That is just off Highway 70 in Oroville. County representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

Stanley Avenue Project Approved by Butte County
Developers now have the green light to put more homes on Stanley Avenue. Butte County supervisors approved the project Tuesday. This development has been on the table of three years. It was just approved due to a need for housing caused by the Camp Fire.

Bullet Holes Found in Equipment near Camp Fire Origin: PG&E
PG&E says it found bullet holes and damaged power lines near where the fire started in Pulga. They say a power line may have broken free and made contact with the tower on November 8. Cal Fire is continuing their investigation – they have confirmed that there were two points of ignition.

Several Families of Camp Fire Victims File Wrongful Death Lawsuits
Several families of Camp Fire victims are suing PG&E for wrongful death. Lawyers announced the suit in Chico Wednesday. It claims PG&E failed to follow safety practices. That led to poorly maintained power lines that sparked the fire.

Be Alert of Scams: Butte County DA
The Butte County District Attorney is reminding everyone to be alert to scams in the wake of the Camp Fire. The DA is investigating unlicensed or fraudulent contractors, rentals and fake disaster officials offering services as well as people who falsely claim to be Camp Fire victims.

Road Closure near Highway 70
Union Pacific will be working on tracks across Central House Road. There will be a hard closure from two miles east of Highway 70, to two miles west of Palermo Honcut Highway. That is from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Thursday.
