Right-of-Entry Center Open in Oroville

Today, those impacted by the Camp Fire can start applying for debris removal. You can submit a Right-of-entry form with the office of emergency services at the center in Oroville. That's from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Community Meeting About the Debris Removal Program

A community meeting to answer questions about the Debris Removal Program is this Thursday in Oroville. You can also turn in your Right-of-Entry forms at the meeting. The meeting is Thursday, Dec. 13, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at the State Theatre Arts Guild on Myers Street in Oroville.

Redding Fire Department Investigating Fire at Tropics Bar

The Redding Fire Department is investigating a fire at Tropics Bar in Redding overnight. Investigators say renovations were underway in the decades-old building. They believe faulty wiring may be the cause.

Carr Fire Debris Removal Almost Finished

Debris removal in the Carr Fire in almost finished. Officials say all but five of more than 5,000 properties in Shasta County enrolled are complete. The next step is rebuilding. 

One Killed in Suspected Cottonwood DUI Crash

Action News Now is working to learn the identity of a person killed in a suspected DUI crash in Cottonwood Sunday morning. California Highway Patrol says Jacob Dahlem, of Fresno, is now behind bars at the Shasta County Jail.

Orland Police Arrest Suspect in Attempted Murder Case

Orland police arrested Jacob Torres for attempted murder. Police say he broke into a woman's home Thursday night and tried to strangle her. The woman was able to escape with minor injuries.
