French Gulch Residents Allowed Back Home
The Carr Fire is now 176,000 acres and 47 percent contained. Cal Fire says the north side of the fire is burning through dense timber. Evacuation orders as of Thursday morning are now lifted for French Gulch residents.


The Mendocino-Complex Fire Latest
The Mendocino-Complex Fire is now 47 percent contained at 300,000 acres. The fire has destroyed 116 homes in Mendocino, Lake and Colusa Counties since July 27. It is threatening another 10,000 homes. Cal Fire says they expect to be fighting this fire into September. One evacuation shelter in Lake County is now experiencing a norovirus outbreak.


Plumas County Fire Around 100-Acres
Fire crews are keeping control of the Murphy Fire near Belden in the Feather River Canyon. Officials with the Plumas National Forest say it is around 100-acres. Highway 70 is under traffic control in the area, a precautionary evacuation notice is underway for several areas. A Red Cross shelter is in place on Lawrence Street in Quincy.


Smoky Skies Create Unhealthy Air Quality
As major wildfires continue to push smoke and ash into the air, health officials are warning about inhaling particles into your lungs. They recommend a mask with an N-95 or P-100 rating and be careful to not track ash into your home.


Indecent Exposure Arrest in Redding
Redding police have re-arrested a registered sex-offender for reportedly exposing himself in public. Police say several people reported separate incidences of behavior from 28-year-old Daniel Bonnie Wednesday including exposing himself to a child and passing drivers. They say he also cut off a GPS monitoring bracelet. Bonnie has been arrested and booked seven times within the last year.
