Ulisses Rodriguez, 24, of Chico, was arrested on August 20 in connection with two suspicious deaths in Humboldt County. Deputies in Humboldt county responded to a car fire this past weekend and when it was put out, they found two decedents inside of the vehicle.
"Feeding America" is providing truck loads of food to help Carr Fire victims. This will take place at Sequoia Middle School from 12 - 3 p.m. on August 22 and Central Valley High School in Shasta Lake from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Carr Fire Victims Eligible for Food Stamps
On August 22, victims of the Carr Fire may be eligible for food stamps through the Disaster Cal Fresh Program. Those affected can start applying on August 22 through Wednesday, August 29.
Many downtown businesses have come together to support Carr Fire victims. On August 22, they will be donating all tips and sales to the Shasta Regional Foundation.
Firefighters Battling Verizon As Well as Mendocino Complex Fire
Firefighters working on the Mendocino Complex Fire have claimed that Verizon has limited their mobile data service. The Santa Clara Fire Department said that when they tried to report the problem, they were told that they needed to switch to a different plan that was more than twice the cost.
