Weaverville evacuation warning lifted Wednesday

CAL FIRE said the evacuation warning for Weaverville has been lifted.

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Evacuation warnings in the area of Weaverville have been lifted, according to CAL FIRE.

Areas along Highway 299 from Oregon Summit to Little Browns Creek Rd., from Highway 3 to Highway 299 intersection in Weaverville and north to the end of East Weaver Creek Rd. have all been lifted.

The includes Oregon Mountain, Glennison Gap, Oregon St., West Democrat Gulch and all of Weaverville proper.

All other evacuation orders and warnings for the Monument Fire remain in place. The fire has burned 154,344 acres and is 20% contained.

The next in a series of storms is approaching northern California tonight, and we'll have more rainy weather in the valley overnight with mountain snow. Showers will still fall Wednesday, with many more rain chances ahead.
