Warm Weather Ahead (but not hot!)

It will be warm this week, but not hot with temperatures near normal for this time of year.

SOME RAIN UP NORTH TODAY UP IN SEATTLE FROM A COLD FRONT THAT IS BRINGING THE RAINDROPS AS FAR SOUTH RIGHT NOW AS EUGENE OREGON.

BUT NOTHING FOR US FROM THE TAIL END OF THAT WEAK STORM AS IT DRAGS TOWARD CALIFORNIA IT FALLS APART LEAVING US WITH CLEAR BLUE SKIES AND MILD TEMPERATURES--AT LEAST FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.

OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW IT IS IN THE UPPER 70'S AND LOWER 80'S IN THE VALLEY AND CLEAR WITH CALM WINDS.

HARDLY A BREEZE AT ALL OUTSIDE BUT WHAT IS REGISTERING ARE LIGHT WINDS MOSTLY OUT OF THE SOUTH THIS AFTERNOON, ALL LESS THAN TEN MILES PER HOUR SO REALLY CALM AS FAR AS THE WINDS TODAY.

HUMIDITY IS LOW BUT NOT AS LOW AS IT HAS BEEN MUCH OF THE SUMMER, WITH READINGS IN THE TEENS, 20'S AND EVEN SOME 30% RANGE.

STILL THE CONTINUED COMBINATION OF A LONG HOT AND DRY SUMMER, WITH LOW HUMIDITY AND DRY CONDITIONS MEANS THAT TOMORROW AND STILL FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE WE ARE ONCE AGAIN IN THE RED ZONE AS FAR AS FIRE DANGER

HOW ABOUT NEXT WEEK? WELL, SIMILAR TO TODAY WITH MILD TEMPERATURES, NO RAIN IN SIGHT AND GETTING ONLY SLIGHTLY WARMER DURING THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.TO WHERE TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR MUCH OF THE WEEK.

HERE IS THE RAIN TO OUR NORTH. BUT AS WE LOOK AHEAD YOU CAN SEE THE COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH IT STAYS NORTH OF US AND DOES NOT MAKE IT INTO CALIFORNIA AND THAT IS ABOUT HOW FAR SOUTH IT WILL GET FOR US AND WELL ONLY SEE SOME PASSING CLOUDS OVERHEAD AT TIMES.

AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES THIS WEEK AHEAD, WELL, MONDAY LOOKS MAYBE A DEGREE OR TWO WARMER THAN TODAY. TUESDAY A LITTLE WARMER STILL AND WEDNESDAY TEMPERATURES CREEP UP A FEW MORE DEGREES TO WHERE THEY ARE APPROACHING 90 DEGREES. , BUT I DO WANT TO ADD TO THE FORECAST THERE IS NO HEAT WAVE ON THE HORIZON!

SO HERE IS YOUR FORECAST IN THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS SMOKY AND WARM FOR YOUR SUNDAY WITH HIGHS IN THE 60'S AND 70'S. EASTERN MOUNTAINS, WARM AND SMOKY AS WELL, YOUR HIGHS ALSO IN THE 60'S AND 70'S. HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE UPPER 70'S IN THE FOOTHILLS ALSO SMOKY AND WARM WITH YOUR HIGHS IN THE LOWER 80'S FOR THE VALLEY

NEXT WEEK WARMS UP A FEW DEGREES EACH DAY UNTIL MID WEEK BEFORE COOLING OFF QUITE A BIT AS WE HEAD INTO NEXT WEEKEND!

We're finally seeing some relief from the heat on the way for your Friday. We'll be around 10 degrees cooler than Thursday on Friday and clouds will be returning for your afternoon. Much cooler with the chance for active weather on the way for your weekend.
