Leave your umbrella at home and grab those sunglasses! Sunny, dry, and warmer weather is ahead for your Wednesday across Northern California. The clear skies have helped to result in cooler temperatures in our area this morning. You may want to put a jacket on for your way out the door this morning,b ut won't be needing it later today. Temepratures have dipped into the mid to high 40's in the valley overnight, and into the 20's to 30's in the mountains this morning. Winds will be breezy again today, but are not expected to be quite as strong as yesterday. Most areas will have winds out of the North from 10 to 20mph. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny, and high temepratures will end up several degrees warmer than yesterday. Valley areas are projected to climb into the low to mid 70's this afternoon, and mountain areas will end up in the 50's to 60's later today.
A wet and cooler system will be passing through to our North on Thursday and that will likely bring some mountain showers back into our forecast. Mostly light amounts of rain and snow are expected to fall in higher elevations, and we'll be staying dry in the valley. Snow levels will hover around 5000'. Some minor travel impacts will be possible in the mountains on Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will dip back into the mid to high 60's in the valley on Thursday. The wet weather is expected to move on quickly, and our entire region will be dry again on Friday. Temperatures will warm back into the low 70's in the valley on Friday and then into the mid 70's in the valley on Saturday. There is a chance for mountain showers returning on Sunday, and temperatures are expected to fall back into the mid to high 60's in the valley for the latter part of your weekend. A chance for more widespread showers will return to Northern California on Monday, but rain amounts are expected to stay light. We'll be drying out and warming up again towards the middle of next week.
