REDDING, Calif. - A wanted person seen in Redding led officers to locate multiple drugs and a firearm, the Redding Police Department said.
On Sunday, a police officer saw a wanted person enter a hotel room at the Capri Motel in Redding.
Officers tried to contact the person but they went inside the room that had multiple people in it.
Inside, police found 34-year-old Corey Cornellier, who had a warrant for his arrest and was on probation.
Officers searched the room and found a firearm, baton and drugs, including fentanyl, heroin, meth and drug sales paraphernalia.
An investigation determined some of the items were Cornellier’s.
Cornellier was booked into the Shasta County Jail and is facing multiple charges.
