Victims of fatal I-5 crash in Yolo County identified

Williams, Calif.—The crash happened overnight Saturday when a wrong way driver, identified as 38-year-old Michelle Doxie of Sacramento, hit another car head-on.

Williams, Calif.—The crash happened overnight Saturday when a wrong way driver, identified as 38-year-old Michelle Doxie of Sacramento, hit another car head-on.

In that car was a group of five friends driving home from dinner.

The victims were 21-year-old Raquel Lopez-Valencia, 25-year-old Cristian Lopez Cambron, 19-year old Yaneth Lopez, 23-year old Kristian Paiz, and 19-year-old Jessica Garcia.

Loved ones of the victims said Raquel and Cristian were recently married, and Yaneth was Cristian’s younger sister.

Kristian and Jessica were engaged and planned to get married by the end of the year.

Several restaurants and community groups in Williams are coming together and creating fundraising events for families.

A fire weather watch has been issued from 1pm Monday to 11am Wednesday in the Valley and foothills due to dry and gusty conditions. We'll warm up next week but next weekend is looking much much cooler and wet.
