CORNING, Calif.- The city of Corning held its Veterans Day Parade this morning on Solano Street.

Corning Fire Department, police, and Corning Union High marching band were some of the marchers who came out to take part in honoring our veterans.

The parade began at 10 a.m. and made its way to the Veterans Memorial Hall.

Action News Now spoke to one man who took part in the parade and he shared his experience.

"It's just a pleasure to see so many people turn out and have such respect for the American flag and veterans" says Ed Richter.

After the parade, there was a luncheon to celebrate and honor veterans living Corning.

The last two days saw quite a bit of rain in Northern California. Today we could see more but the showers look to be more isolated today than in previous days. Highs today are expected to reach the upper 50s to lower 60s.
