Make sure you're prepared for much warmer temperatures before you head out the door this morning. Today is going to be dry, and temperatures will be some of the warmest we've seen so far this year. Temperatures have stayed very warm overnight. Valley areas are starting out in the mid 50's to mid 60's this morning, and mountain areas have only dipped into the 30's to 40's overnight. Skies will be mostly clear, with limited thin clouds brushing through mountain areas early today. Winds will be out of the North to around 15mph, and humidity will dip to as low as 10 percent this afternoon. The breezy North winds, warmer temperatures, and low humidity will all combine to result in elevated fire danger concerns this afternoon. Temperatures will end up in the mid to high 80's in the valley later today, and mountain areas are projected to end up anywhere between the high 60's to low 80's this afternoon.

Temperatures will get even warmer for your Tuesday and Wednesday. We could see the first 90's of the year on Tuesday afternoon in some valley areas. The North end of the valley looks to be the warmest area over the next few days, but mid valley areas will not be far behind. High 80's to low 90's are expected for both Tuesday and Wednesday in the valley. Mountain areas will end up in the 70's to 80's during that same time. The latest outlook keeps us dry through at least the middle of the week, but previous models were hinting at a slight chance for mountain thunderstorms as early as Tuesday afternoon. The chance for active weather in the mountains will get a little better towards the end of the week.

Temperatures will start to drop on Thursday, but are still expected to end up in the mid 80's. The potential for mountain thunderstorms becomes more prevalent in the afternoon/evening hours late this week. Temperatures will end up in the mid to high 70's on Friday in the valley, with partly cloudy skies returning. There will be a decent chance for active weather in the valley by Friday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible this upcoming weekend, and temperatures will top out in the mid 70's for the valley.
