A teenage driver leads officers on a chase Monday night that ended in a crash near Durham.

Officers with CHP said around 9:30pm Monday night they saw a 19-year-old woman, reportedly driving the wrong way on 9th Street at Salem in Chico.

When a CHP officer tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped away, heading south on Dayton Road.

CHP Officer Tyler Henry said the chase reached speeds of 90mph at one point.

When she reached the Durham Dayton Highway she reportedly tried to turn, but was going too fast and rolled the suv she was driving.

Two other teens were in the car and no one was seriously hurt.

Officers said it's not clear yet if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The driver was taken into custody.

Thankfully, the wind is cooperating much better today in northern California. Our weather is still quite hot for this time of year and very dry. There is plenty of haze and smoke from the Fawn Fire overhead, and it isn't leaving yet.
