Vegetation Fire Contained in South Chico

Action News Now received a report of a vegetation fire on Highway 99 at Estates Drive.

CHICO, Calif.—Cal Fire Butte County was able to knock out the fire quickly.

The fire burned five acres.

No homes were threatened and no traffic was affected.

The fire is 100% contained.

The fire has burned at least one acre.

Fire crews are arriving on scene.

The fire is just south of the welcome to Chico sign.
