REDDING, Calif. - More than 3,600 firefighters are working to contain the Carr Fire and the National Guard is giving us a bird’s eye view of how crews fight fires from the sky.

Take a look at the video, this is from the cockpit as two C-130s with modular airborne firefighting systems or muffs, drop retardant on the flames.

Despite their best effort this fire has continued to grow and is now the worst in the North State’s history in terms of damage and lives lost.
