(NBC News) - The first doses of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine are now being delivered and administered in the United States.
An intensive care unit nurse in New York was among the first in the nation to get the shot, the beginning of a massive vaccination effort across the nation.

Inoculation assembly lines are being set up at hospitals and other facilities. The first doses will be administered to medical teams as the vaccination effort rolls out in phases.
Widespread availability for most Americans remains months away.
