CORNING, Calif. - Two men were arrested after officers conducted a follow-up on a theft case that led them to a large illegal campsite.
On the morning of Sept. 28, officers found Joseph Strout and James Walker, both of Corning, in an illegal campsite near South and Houghton Avenues.
Strout and Walker had 17 warrants between them, with several felony warrants for Strout.
A search of the area led to the finding of damage due to the campsite, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Both men were arrested for their warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia, and were charged with littering in a waterway and streambed alteration.
