PARADISE, Calif. - A two-vehicle crash blocked a portion of The Skyway for roughly 30 minutes Friday near Paradise.

The crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. near Pentz Road and Skyway, according to Sergeant Cameron Kovacs from the Paradise Police Department.

A log truck and a grey sedan were both going down the hill on The Skyway.

At one point the log truck was about to turn left on Pentz Road, but the sedan behind it attempted to pass the truck.

The sedan hit the rear of the log truck and rolled over, landing on its roof.

This caused the Skyway to be blocked off for roughly 30 minutes between Coutolenc Rd and Pentz Road.

The road is now open.

There were no reports of any logs that fell from the truck carrying them and nobody was seriously hurt.

The first weekend of autumn was pleasant for northern California, but our relatively tranquil weather will change soon. A Pacific storm is approaching the West Coast, and it will bring our area rain showers and gusty wind soon.
