Highway 70 closed when truck, logs rolled over

A truck towing logs rolled over due to unsafe speeds, causing the logs to roll down an embankment.

BELDEN, Calif. - A truck carrying logs rolled over and blocked Highway 70 Monday, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP said the truck rolled over due to unsafe speed around a left-hand curve.

The truck and the trailer rolled onto their side and the majority of the logs rolled down the embankment.

The road was opened and closed throughout the afternoon to remove the vehicle and debris.
