Red Bluff, CA -- A semi-truck hauling a load of kitty litter and laundry detergent went off South Main Street into a ditch, spilling its entire load.
According to crews on scene, it is not known why the driver went off the road, less than one mile north of St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. He was not injured.
South Main Street was closed throughout the night while tow truck drivers pulled the truck up the 20 foot embankement. Crews estimate 44,000 lbs. of litter and detergent was spilled.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
