TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. – A Lewiston man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office.
The Trinity County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a report on Oct. 27, around 2:20 p.m. of an assault in Lewiston. The caller identified the suspect as Terrin C. Chase and said he had already left the scene.
Shortly after, another report was made that Chase had returned to the scene with a firearm and was discharging it at people and buildings, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said they located Chase a short distance from the location in a vehicle. He was then taken into custody. During an interview, deputies said Chase admitted to possessing the firearm, discharging it, and being on the scene.
Nobody was harmed in the incident, and Chase is in custody at the Trinity County Jail.
