PARADISE, Calif. - The Town of Paradise shared on April 10 the Government Tree Removal Program is facing delays due to a contract between Cal Recycle and their contractor.

The town said the program will continue to move forward but the start date for removal of trees will be delayed about two months.

This delay does not stop any permits from being issued for rebuilding, the town said. Paradise will still issue permits and perform inspections.

Those who are rebuilding must sign-up for the program a permit to be issued, but the removal work does not have to be completed prior to issuance.
