CHICO, Calif. - Power and service was restored Monday evening to more than 1,000 Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers living in Chico’s neighborhood of the Avenues and Enloe Medical Center.

PG&E reports that power went out shortly after 5 p.m. to 1,890 customers including homes and businesses.

Enloe Medical Center was included in that power loss but according to the hospital the emergency generators kicked in immediately.

The outage did not affect any of the hospitals’ services, by 6:20 p.m. the power was back on to all customers.

PG&E says the cause was a tree branch hitting a power line.
