PARADISE, Calif. – Officers arrested an Oroville transient after a traffic stop revealed drugs and weapons.

Police said 31-year-old, Duke Clayton, was arrested after they found 14 pounds of processed Marijuana, numerous items of narcotics paraphernalia, a firearm and ammunition.

The traffic stop happened on the Skyway near Oliver Road around 2:05 a.m. on Dec. 5. Clayton was pulled over because officers said the vehicle had an equipment violation. The vehicle was an older model Chrysler and associated with a theft from Tractor Supply on Dec. 3, according to Paradise Police.

Officers said narcotics were in plain sight as they were speaking to Clayton. He was arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail on several charges, including felon in possession of a firearm.
