OROVILLE, CALIF. -  In all, 125 names will be displayed over the next several weeks on the newly restored marquee of the historic State Theatre.

For 54 years the Fellows Club of Oroville has recognized the Top 10 students at Oroville and Las Plumas High
Schools during May.

Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior and Senior "Top 10" students are presented with Certificates of Achievement and graduating Seniors also receive a check for $500.00.

The traditional public awards ceremony was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, so volunteers and the crew at the State Theatre thought this would be a nice, alternative way to honor the students.

Starting Monday, April 13th the names will be displayed in lights, in groups of ten. Each week the names will change, through early May.
