REDDING, Calif.- The Shasta County Sheriff's office says three boys- ages 13,15, and 16 years old, attacked a staff member of a group home.

The group home based in Redding is operated by "Victor Treatment Centers." Deputies say it happened around 3 p.m. on  Wednesday.

Investigators tell Action News Now that the suspects planned the attack, using a bucket and wooden stick that was shaved down to a point.

Officers say that when they arrived, the victim had barricaded themselves in an office as the suspects were trying to break through a door.

All three suspects are now at the Shasta County Juvenile Hall.

The victim is expected to be okay.
