CHICO, Calif. – The third annual Women in Business Summit is coming up Saturday, March 6 and tickets are now on sale.

The Women in Business Summit (WIB) is an event co-hosted by the American Marketing Association and the Association for Women in Business. These clubs strive to bring opportunities to women and underrepresented minorities in the business world.

WIB said it was created due to very few seminars, courses, or events available that specifically discuss women in the business field. Over the past three years, hundreds of individuals including students, small business owners, stay-at-home mothers, and other community members have benefited from this event, according to WIB.

This year's event will be virtual and feature guest speakers, along with breakout sessions that touch on relevant topics for women in business. The keynote speaker, Angie Howard, is the Vice President of Custom Animation with DreamWorks Animation.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions directly to the line of speakers.

Ticket prices are $15. The first 150 people will receive a swag bag that includes an event t-shirt.

The first of two storms moved over northern California late last night and this morning, but our weather has quieted for now. More rain showers will fall Saturday, but heavier rain and snow with stronger wind arrives Sunday.
