CHICO, Calif. - The third annual Broadband Summit will be on July 29 at Chico State.

The event will feature Chico State’s President Gayle Hutchinson who will start the event by giving an update from the university about broadband.

“Now more than ever it (broadband) is critical to the way we live, to the way we work, and learn and do business,” said Alice Patterson with North State Planning and Development Collective. “Reliable broadband is critical.”

The event will be virtual and it cost $25 to register.

The first weekend of autumn was pleasant for northern California, but our relatively tranquil weather will change soon. A Pacific storm is approaching the West Coast, and it will bring our area rain showers and gusty wind soon.
