Fire danger is finally starting to subside today, but is staying elevated. Low humidity, well above average temperatures, and breezy North winds will all contribute to the fire danger today. Skies are clear for the start of your Wednesday, and will stay sunny today. Temperatures are starting out chilly again this morning. Valley areas are starting out in the 40's to 50's this morning, and mountain areas have dipped into the 20's to 30's again overnight. Winds are expected to be out of the North or Northwest to around 10mph today, but there is still potential for gusty North winds in the Sierra. Looks like we could see wind gusts up to around 30mph, but most areas will have much lighter winds today. High temperatures will end up in the mid to high 80's in the valley this afternoon, and in the high 60's to low 80's in the mountains.
Looks like we're in for a very similar set up for your Thursday forecast, but will get a few degrees warmer on Friday. Sunny skies will persist through the weekend, and temperatures will end up in the high 80's to low 90's on Friday and Saturday in the valley. There is a decent drop in temperatures projected for Sunday, but temperatures will stay above average for this time of year. Most of the valley is projected to end up in the low to mid 80's on Sunday, while mountain areas top out in the 60's to 70's. A modest cooling trend is on tap for the start to middle of next week, and models are currently hinting at a chance for showers in the Northern zones of our area on Tuesday into Wednesday. As of now, it looks like most of the wet weather will stay to our North, but that is subject to change.
