CHICO, Calif. - Chico Mayor Randall Stone said the city needs $8 million to repair its roads. Currently, the budget is $1 million.

Stone said the public works director for engineering is trying to find a solution.

“We've also asked for money from the state for Camp Fire relief and for the types of damages and impacts that we're seeing with traffic,” Stone said.

A recent road project on Cohasset, which was only about one mile of road repair, cost $2 million.

The city says it will cost $300 million to fix all of the city’s roads.

Another disturbance will cross northern California through tomorrow. The biggest effect will be stronger wind in the valley tonight through Thursday. There are no watches or warnings for fire danger, but the wind won't help.
