To qualify, families can go to the Oroville Resuce Mission Thrift Store at 2130 Bird Street in Oroville.

Applicants must bring proof of identification, employment and residency. Organizers say pay stubs, welfare and medicare paperwork will work.

Inside each box, that can feed a family of five, will be all the makings of a great holiday meal including turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and veggies.

If families do not have a kitchen to prepare the box of food, they are welcome to come to the Oroville Rescue Missions Thanksgiving Dinner happened Wednesday, November 22. That will be at the El Medio Fire Station.
