One structure destroyed from fire in Corning

Firefighters worked to put out a fire in Tehama County on Tuesday afternoon.

CORNING, Calif. - Firefighters worked to put out a fire on Kirkwood Road and Ingham Road in Tehama County on Tuesday afternoon.

One structure was destroyed, from the fire that started around 1 p.m., CAL FIRE said the fire was put out by 2 p.m.

Firefighters will remain on scene for the next few hours to continue mop-up. CAL FIRE could not say if it was started inside the home, the cause remains under investigation. 

In total, this fire took out about 10 acres.
