TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. – The Tehama Major Crimes Unit announced it is currently investigating two shootings that took place at a mobile home park and left one man in critical condition.
Authorities said the shooting happened at the Homewood Mobile Home Park on Saturday, Jan. 23. A man reported that he was parked in front of the mobile home park when he was approached by an unknown man who was armed with a firearm.
The victim told authorities that the suspect fired several rounds at him with one round striking him in the left leg, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim drove himself to a local hospital where he was treated and later discharged.
The second shooting took place on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at the same mobile home park. As Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding, they located a 38-year-old victim, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
At this time, the sheriff’s office has not determined if the two shootings are related. Witnesses reported seeing a silver sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly after the shooting, according to the sheriff’s office.
