PARADISE, Calif. - A man is in police custody for what authorities are calling a violent attack.

Paradise police say that Trevor Jones attacked his girlfriend Saturday night.

She managed to escape from the home on Pentz Road and Valle Vista Drive. She said Jones had held her down and punched her before hitting her leg with a frying pan as she escaped.

Police say Jones then followed his girlfriend until officers arrived on scene.

Jones has an active domestic violence restraining order from the victim.
