Sunny skies & a warming trend ahead for Northern California

Warmer temperatures, breezy North winds, and sunny skies are ahead for today.

Breezy and warmer weather is ahead for your Tuesday across Northern California. The warming trend will continue today and skies will be sunny. Temperatures are starting out much warmer this morning, with valley areas dipping into the mid 40's to low 50's overnight, and mountain areas starting out in the 20's to 30's this morning. Winds are expected to be up to 15mph out of the North again today, with gusts up to around 25mph possible this afternoon. People who suffer from allergies may want to take precaution before you head out the door today. Looks like you may want to put on an extra layer if you're heading out early this morning, but you won't be wanting it this afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be around 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. Valley areas are projected to climb into the mid to high 70's this afternoon, and mountain areas will end up in the high 50's to around 70 degrees later today.

Even warmer temperatures are on tap for the middle of the week. Valley areas will mostly end up in the low to mid 80's on Wednesday and Thursday. Mountain areas will end up in the 60's to low 70's during that time. North winds will continue to be breezy, but are not expected to be as strong as today. There will be a very modest dip in temperatures towards the end of the week, but that only puts the valley back into the high 70's as opposed to the low to mid 80's from Wednesday and Thursday.

Conditions are looking ideal for your Easter weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny, with high temperatures topping out in the high 70's to low 80's in the valley, and 60's to low 70's in the mountains. Sunday will be slightly cooler than Saturday, but temperatures will continue to be well above average for this time of year. Most of the valley will end up in the mid to high 70's on Easter afternoon. Temperatures are not expected to change much on Monday, but there will be a slight potential for light showers returning towards the start of next week.

December began on a beautiful note for northern California with plentiful sunshine, seasonably cool lows and warmer than average highs. Much of wednesday will be similar to today, but clouds will stream into our sky late in the day.
